RECRUITMENT
Before we hire anyone:
- Amco Recruitment Agency authenticates references of all long-term and temporary employees.
- All our employees are required to have an up to date immunisation record, including filling out a health questionnaire.
- We check state registries on every employee to ensure they are not guilty of abuse, neglect or theft, or have in any way had their license reprimanded.
- We carry out screening through a two-step interview process. Not everyone who calls is hired.
- Amco Recruitment Agency test their field staff in a variety of ways. Nurses are given the NLN MEd Test 15, an age specific competency, and other evaluation.
- We verify and authenticate all qualifications.
- CRB checks are completed where staff will be dealing directly with either children or vulnerable adults.
- We carry out our own Skills Audit to ensure all competencies and knowledge are up to date.
- We offer a Continuous Plan for Development for all internal and external staff.
We also require the following from employees:
- Proof of identity including a recent picture and work permit
- Two written references
- Evidence of satisfactory knowledge of English
- Full employment history, with written explanations of gaps
- Details of any professional indemnity insurance
- Name, address and telephone of next of kin
- National insurance number
